Welcome to MCRide, McHenry County's public dial-a-ride bus service! In partnership with Pace Suburban Bus, MCRide provides affordable and accessible curb-to-curb transportation for all residents of McHenry County.
Whether you need a ride to work, a medical appointment, the grocery store, or to visit friends, MCRide is your connection to the community. Our shared-ride service is open to everyone, offering a safe and reliable way to travel.

General Public: You may book a ride up to 2 days in advance.
Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities: You may book a ride up to 7 days in advance.

The complete street address for your pickup and drop-off locations
The date and time you wish to travel

Affordable. On-Demand
Connect is a new on-demand, user-side subsidy program! Connect uses transportation network companies, like Uber and UZURV, to provide an affordable transportation option for eligible residents in McHenry County.
When enrolled, a voucher will appear when you schedule a trip within the six-county Chicagoland region on Uber or UZURV, as long as the origin or destination is in McHenry County. With the voucher, you will pay the first $4.00 of the cost of the trip and McHenry County will subsidize the rest of the cost, not exceeding $16. The subsidy does not include tip.
Eligibility for the Connect Program
Must be a McHenry County resident.
Must have an Uber or UZURV account.
Must have an RTA Reduced Fare, Ride Free Permit Card, ADA Paratransit and Access Pilot Program.
Application Requirements
Make sure you are eligible for the program
Fill out the online enrollment form
Your name, phone and email must match between your RTA card, Uber/UZURV account and enrollment form
After submission, wait 7-10 business days for the voucher to show on your Uber/UZURV account
