Each project is managed by the McHenry County Division of Transportation, but we work with various engineering firms and construction contractors to complete the work. For specific information about the contractor on a particular project, please refer to the interactive construction map.

Construction projects have many phases. There are times when crews may not be on-site due to reasons such as waiting for materials to be delivered, allowing concrete to cure, or coordinating with utility companies. Rest assured, we aim to complete projects as efficiently as possible.

Yes, access for local traffic and emergency services will be maintained throughout the duration of our projects. There may be temporary detours or flaggers to guide traffic, but complete closures for residents and businesses will be avoided whenever possible and communicated well in advance.
